Collections include photographs that document academics, athletics, campus and buildings and student life as well as faculty, staff, students and trustees of Abbot Academy and Phillips Academy. Audiovisual materials document Phillips Academy events such as lectures on campus, football games, student performances, building dedications, and fundraising events.

Alumni Authors
Many alumni of Phillips Academy and Abbott Academy are prolific writers, some of whom are quite well known. The Oliver Wendell Holmes Library at Phillips Academy actively collects published books by alumni/ae of Phillips Academy and Abbot Academy. These materials are shelved in the main collection according to their Dewey Decimal classification, but the books are physically labeled with a bright blue “A” sticker, indicating that they are part of the Andover Authors Collection. Each year at reunion time bibliographies are prepared of the books written by members of the reunion classes. If you are aware of a published book written by an alumnus/a of Phillips Academy or Abbott Academy that is not in our collection, please let us know. These lists are available here.
