May your heart be daily made alive by the promises of God, and with this [illegible] may you pass over Jordan. May there be your undivided companions & comfort: When you go, may they lead you; when you sleep, may they keep you; when you wake may they talk with you. May God keep these things forever upon the imagination of the thoughts of the heart.

There is a Principle of love in the hearts of believers, and this love of Christ constrains them to live to Christ.

The Soul cannot consider her be deliverance by the blood of Christ and by the Spirit of Christ, but the cry, what Shall I render to the Lord for all his benefits towards me? I will take the cup of Salvation, and call upon the Name of the Lord: I will pay my vows unto the Lord, now in the presence of all his people: O Lord, Truly!

This meditation and studious thought; it is the exercise of our own judgement upon all we read, that gives good sense even to the least genius, and afford our understanding the finest improvements.

Christians, believe in God: to him that believes, all things are possible; and if you believe, they shall be to you: He hath said he will be, and therefore you may boldly say, “The Lord is my helper. Growth in the Lord, and keep his way: Trust in the Lord and be doing good, & verily you shall be fed, verily you shall be assisted, verily you shall be supported and comforted, commit your way to him, & whatever difficulty there be in your work, he shall bring it to pass: commit the keeping of yourselves to him, and you shall be kept by his power, through faith unto salvation. Faithful is he that called you, & will do it. Distrust yourselves, as much as you will, but distrust not your flock; you are weak [illegible], but you have a Strong God: you have empty hearts, but a full Saviour; you have but a poor [illegible] in yourselves, but a rich [illegible] in the promise, when we you shall have such a continual supply.

[Illegible], that your barrel of meal shall not waste, nor your [illegible] of oyl spend, till you have finished your work and course. Hang on your crucified Lord; take hold on his Covenant, take hold on his strength, go forth in his strength and Name, and then fear not; your difficulties shall vanish, your way shall prosper, your soul shall flourish; you shall have your fruits unto holiness, & your and everlasting life.
