This letter, written by George Washington to General Lincoln in 1795, concerns the enrollment of Washington’s nephews into Phillips Academy.

Dear Sir,
This letter will be presented to you by Col William A. Washington a nephew of mine who I beg leave to introduce to your civilities.
His intention is to [[fix?]] two of his sons at the Andover Academy; in the accomplishment of which, or any thing else he may stand in need, your aid would be very obliged.
